Busy Busy Weekend!

This was a crazy weekend for us. So busy that I am just now sitting down to catch you all up and it is 11pm...late night for me! ;-)

Fist off, here is the picture that confirmed we are having a little boy! I finally figured out how to work the scanner! Isn't it funny how that write on it "BOY"!
Friday night:
You know you're pregnant when you drive 25 minutes away from your house to go out to eat at the Melting Pot! That's right, we drove to San Mateo to enjoy yummy melted swiss cheese, lobster and filet Mignon cooked in Coq A Vin, and bananas and strawberries dipped in milk chocolate. YUM! We had a great time and lauged alot. We were so glad we had reservations because when we got there, there was a 2 hour wait for walk ins! Could you imagine waiting 2 hours for dinner (in the suburbs at a chain restaurant!)...hahaha...No Way! Anyway, it was delish...we had a great date night!

Saturday we actually went out and tackled the crazy and overwhelming task of registering! We were at Babies R Us for what seemed like forever, but thankfully we got alot accomplished! We picked out a theme for the baby's room....it is going to be a navy blue, blue, and white nautical theme. Isn't it cute!? We didn't register for white furniture though. We picked out more of a dark brown/espresso color. Still, you can get the point from the pic.
Saturday night we went to a holiday dinner party at our realtor's house. She made a vegetarian meal so Jeff was pretty much starving when we left but we had a nice time.

Tonight we had dinner with Dale and Elaine at the Olive Garden...again outside of the city! We are really supporting chain restaurants this weekend! :-)

Dale and Elaine brought the baby his first big gift....They said Santa came early! Check it out...it's the cutest. So thoughtful of them, and I know the baby's going to love it!!!

It's A Boy!

No more wondering! We found out yesterday that we are going to have a little boy! We are so excited and wanted to share the great news with all of you! We tried to scan the ultrasound pics, but had technical difficulties with the scanner...sorry!

Holiday Blues

I wanted to post today because it is Sunday and I don't want to get out of the habit of my weekly updates but I've got to say it's hard to be cheerful when you've got the holiday blues! No real reason to be in a funk (can I blame the hormones?!?) ...hopefully I will be better tomorrow! :-)

WEEKEND UPDATE:
In an attempt to be festive and get into the spirit of Christmas, we decorated the house this weekend. We put up a tree (its little, but does the job!), put lights up outside and even bought a poinsettia! I posted pictures of all of the above...enjoy!
PREGGERS UPDATE:
I definitely owe you an updated picture. Maybe I can get Jeff to take one tonight. On Tuesday and Wednesday my tummy was really really itchy, which was a first. With cocoa butter to the rescue, I didn't think much about it. Then on Thursday I woke up and I swear my belly grew over night! It seriously looked much bigger, was a little bit higher up, and felt a little bit harder...Soooo weird!

Went to the doc on Thursday for a routine check up and I have gained 10 pounds so far....really should only be about 8 at this point but hey, it was Thanksgiving and that's good for 2 pounds, right??

We listened to the baby's heartbeat and then did a quick sonogram. Baby was sleepy and didn't move very much but appears to be developing well. We have our ultrasound on Thursday morning--can't wait! I will make sure to drink lots of OJ so the baby moves around! I can't wait to know if we are having a little boy or a little girl!!!!

Overall, feeling very well. I have been walking almost everyday for 30-45 minutes and trying to keep healthy! Time seems to be flying by. I am thinking we should probably try to register at some point but all of that is so overwhelming to us. Why are there so many types of strollers and why are the price points all over the place? What make one better than the other when they all sort of look the same!? What about cribs? Do you need a crib that turns into a day bed and then into a full bed or do you just need a basic standard crib? Seriously I don't know how people make these decisions! I need a "How To" manual for what new moms need!
