Baby Update

Went to the doc today and all is good. Jeff was bummed that he couldn't join me to hear our little man's heartbeat but it was fine. His heartbeat was good and I am still measuring on track. I only gained 3 ponds this month, even after all of the double breakfast mornings and the milkshake cravings. I guess little Baby Boy has been enjoying all the extra calories.

A little weird when the doc flat out said "Wow, your boobs have really grown. They are huge!" Um...thank goodness she is a woman but still weird to hear nonetheless! I guess it makes for a good story though.

Also very excited that I got the clearance to go up to Tahoe the first weekend in March to see our friends Bob and Katie who will be up there on vacation. We had heard that you can't travel up to high altitudes after 27 weeks as it might put you into labor. Doc said that wsa just an old wives tale and that as long as I feel good we should go and have some fun!

Oh, and we bought Meghan's plane ticket to come out on May 16th. For those of you who don't know, Meghan graduates from college May 2nd and isn't starting teaching until the Fall so Jeff and I have hired her to be our summer nurse! :-) We are so excited for Meghan to be a part of our little boys first few months!

That's about it on baby!

Regarding kitchen: Marisa comes out here tomorrow. We have a packed weekend inclding ordering the cabinets, meeting with the contractor, a trip to the tile place, the granite place, and the lighting place. I am going to be zonked out on Sat night!!!

One More Thing....

I forgot to mention in the last post the baby update:
I got my most recent blood test results back...and good news...no gestational diabetes!
Also good news is that I found out why I have been sooooooooooo tired all the time. I was blaming just "being pregnant" as the cause for my need for 11 hours of sleep a night but as it turns out, I am anemic. So hopefully the iron pills I have started taking will give me a little energy boost so I can get back into my walking routine! :-)

Tahoe

Went to Tahoe this weekend for a little R and R...was so nice to get away from the rainy cold city that we call home (has been raining for what feels like forever!) We found a dog friendly cabin to rent for the weekend which was great! Sierra and Foster LOVED the snow!!! It was so fun to watch them frolic around.

Mommy and the pups before our walk...everyone smiling!

The Much Anticipated Belly Shot

Since you have all been asking, here it is.
Today is Jan 20th and I am about to go into my 26th week of pregnancy which means that I am 25 weeks along. Definitely feeling very pregnant...hungry, tired, hungry some more, and tired some more! :-) Jeff is affectionately calling me porky and it makes me laugh every time he says it. He wants me and Greg to have an eating contest...hahaha! Yesterday I had 2 breakfasts...cereal first and then an english muffin with peanut butter. The rest of the day was relatively normal. But then today we were driving back from Lowes and I totally cried when Jeff wouldn't stop at Baskin Robbins for me to get a milkshake...he redeemed himself when he made home-made ones at home...WTF is wrong with me!?!?

Kitchen Update:

Amongst all the craziness in preparing for little Baby Goslin, most of you know we have decided to renovate the kitchen. We don't currently have a dishwasher, and we know we will need one once the little one arrives...so why not redo the whole kitchen, right!? Anyway, thanks to Marisa for all of her help in designing the new space and for helping us pick out the tile, granite, cabinets etc...we definitely couldn't do this without her! We have spent lots and lots of time in Home Depot, Lowes, appliance centers, cabinet places, granite and tile places and are just about ready to pull the trigger and make some big purchases...wish us luck!!!

Baby Update

Just a quick note to let you all know that we had our dr. appt yesterday and the baby appears to be doing very well. Heartbeat was good and I am measuring right on target...not too big and not too small (although I still feel huge, it is nice to hear from the doc that I am right where I should be) ...

I am NY for work this week and it was 60 degrees here today...so weird! I didn't even need a coat and it is January!

We painted the baby's room this past weekend and it looks soooo good! We are putting a chair rail up next weekend and we painted the top of the room light blue and the bottom navy blue...should go perfectly with the nautical theme. I am so excited and it is all feeling very real now...can't believe we are going to be parents in May!

We are still in a name debate. I am calling the little guy Jake and Jeff is calling him Hunter! Not sure we will ever agree!! Too funny!

Pics From the Holidays

It was definitely hard to come back after 8 days in sunny, warm Florida. We spent alot of time outside and got to catch up with family and old friends. What could be better?

Baby Goslin seems to be growing like crazy inside of me. His latest thing is kicking all the time. I swear we are going to have a little soccer player. He is making us smile and laugh already! We are going to the doc on Monday for our latest check up...will keep you posted!
Check out these little cuties. This is Nicholas and Naomi....one of my dearest friends little 3 year old twins...I just want to eat them up. We had a great time playing with them. It was so cute when Naomi called Jeff "Uncle Jeff the Daddy" after she was told we are having a baby!

We also got to meet my other best friend Kellys 5 and a half month old Peyton! She is a doll. We went to the beach, out to lunch, and to a dinner party and she was truly an angel! Unfortunately I have no pics, but it was so great to finally meet the little one!!! And he Daddy being deployed today for 7 months to the Philippines so please keep their family in your prayers!

We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve at my house, so on Christmas day, the men in our family went out fishing while the girls relaxed at home (most recovering from the night prior!) The boys caught dinner which was great, they also caught a shark (let it go back) but see pics below...and yes, that is my Dad in the wife beater...what a stud! HAHAHA!
Here we are out to lunch on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.

We rang in the New Year 70's style at Marty the Party and Jammin' Jim's Disco Dance Party...was a great time! It was also very nice to wake up on New Years day without a hangover!!!
